Tuesday 1/24: 1. Read and TAKE ACTIVE NOTES on the Alien and Sedition Acts reading, 2. Ch. 8 Quest on Friday, 3. Watch the first 15-20 minutes of the State of the Union Address (on all major news stations at 9 PM). Pay attention to the “pomp and circumstance” of the event, and see if you can recognize any of the government officials that we talked about during the Constitution unit.

*There will be a review session after school on WEDNESDAY to prepare for the Quest on Friday.

Friday 1/27: Read Chapter 9, Section 1 and take bullet notes on each of the blue headings. (At least three bullets for each heading, but you may need more depending on the topic).

If and when the lecture is rescheduled, I will offer the opportunity again. There will be another lecture on THURSDAY, MARCH 1st at 7pm on Connecticut during the Civil War presented by Mr. von Schmidt. More information will follow, and extra credit will be given to any who attend.

Wednesday 12/7: We will be in the library tomorrow. Bring your research folder/materials and report directly to the library. **You should begin researching using the links found on my blog under “Founding Fathers” as well as on the Green Team homework page under “Founding Fathers Project.”

Thursday 12/8-Friday 12/9: Continue to work on taking notes on your Founding Father at home. You should be finished (or almost finished) with your notes before class on Monday.

Monday 11/28: Read/Take Active Notes on the packet on George Washington that was distributed in class and answer the question at the end in your journal (it should be about a paragraph in length).

Tuesday 11/29: Read 7.1 and make note cards or quizlet cards (see note cards guidelines) by Thursday

You can use the homework as well as the PowerPoint notes from Thursday/Friday to study for this quiz.

Friday 11/18: 1. bring materials for creating your board game to class on Moday. You group needs: cardboard/posterboard, markers/crayons/colored pencils, index cards, pictures that go along with the American Revolution. 2. If you were absent or missed something in class, please use the PowerPoints below to complete your notes on the American Revolution. Your Ch. 6 homework and your PowerPoint notes will be used in class on Monday/Tuesday to create your board game.
